We recently took the short trip to Tate Liverpool to see the Mondrian; the Dutch Master’s paintings.

Being so familiar with the ‘Mondrian style’ it was interesting to learn that he only began to produce his primary colour grids in 1919, aged 47. The recreation of Mondrian’s home/studio at 26 Reu De Depart was really interesting. The blocks of colour that permeate through his work also covered his walls and his studio became a meeting place for the Paris Avant-Garde scene.
