Exciting things are happening in Preston – and at the heart of it all is the much-anticipated reopening of the iconic Harris Museum this September.

Following a £19 million restoration, made possible with funding from Preston City Council, the National Lottery Heritage Fund, and other key partners, the Harris will officially reopen its doors on Sunday 28th September 2025. With an updated exhibition programme, new learning spaces, a modern café, and expanded family-friendly facilities, the Harris Museum is set to re-establish itself as a cultural and civic beacon for the city.
The Harris is just one piece of Preston’s exciting transformation. The £45 million Animate leisure development is progressing, bringing new energy to the city centre with attractions like COSMO joining the high street’s revival.
As part of this regeneration, we at Wrkspace are proud to be opening Amounderness House – our latest business centre, located just a short walk from The Harris. This beautifully refurbished building offers flexible workspace for businesses of all sizes, right in the heart of Preston’s emerging business district.

Whether you’re a startup looking for your first private office, a growing team needing extra room, or a remote worker seeking a professional base, Amounderness House has been designed to give you room to thrive. With all-inclusive pricing, superfast internet, meeting rooms and excellent transport links, our aim is to create a workspace where business feels effortless.
The momentum building in Preston is clear – and it’s an exciting time to be part of the city’s story. We’re proud to support the local economy by offering professional workspaces backed by friendly, personal service, and a community of like-minded professionals.
As Preston’s skyline changes and its city centre continues to grow, we look forward to helping more local businesses, entrepreneurs and teams find the space they need to succeed.
